These terms cover your use of MathIQO. By creating an account or letting a child use one you agree to them. MathIQO is operated by [ TO CONFIRM: registered legal entity name ].
An account must be created by an adult — a parent or guardian, a teacher, or a school administrator. Children use MathIQO through an account an adult created for them; they do not sign up themselves and are never asked for an email address.
If you create an account for a child, you confirm you are their parent or guardian, or that you are a school acting with the authority to do so.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [ TO CONFIRM: support contact email address ] if you think someone else has access.
Class codes and secret words are credentials for a child's account. Share them with the child and their family, and no one else. A teacher printing sign-in slips is handing out credentials — treat the printed sheet accordingly.
A school administrator can create classrooms, invite staff, and see the practice records of students in their school. Teachers see the students in their own classrooms. A teacher who connects Google Classroom is responsible for having the right to import that roster.
Do not attempt to access accounts or records that are not yours, disrupt the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to break the law. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload. We may suspend an account that does these things.
[ TO CONFIRM: whether paid plans are live, what is charged, the billing cycle, refund policy, and cancellation terms — leave this section out entirely if everything is currently free ]
Practice questions, worksheets, and the surrounding material belong to MathIQO or its licensors. You may use and print them for your own family, classroom, or school. You may not redistribute or sell them.
MathIQO aligns practice to published curricula, but it is a practice tool and not a substitute for a school's own assessment. Placement results and progress indicators are estimates to help you decide what to work on next.
We aim to keep MathIQO running but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will say so in advance.
You can stop using MathIQO and ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for what deletion covers. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will normally tell you why.
MathIQO is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. [ TO CONFIRM: any liability cap tied to fees paid — needs legal review ]
These terms are governed by the laws of [ TO CONFIRM: governing jurisdiction, e.g. Ontario, Canada ], and disputes will be heard in its courts.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced here with a new date at the top; continuing to use MathIQO after that means you accept them.
